EvolveCDT is thrilled to have won the tender process for the development of the What works? - A whole-school approach strategy development project for the Road Safety and Drug Education branch of the Department of Education. The new and refreshed whole-school strategy will present schools with a clear and informed process for developing a strategically focused health and wellbeing plan with a road safety and/or alcohol and other drugs focus.
The strategy will include hypothetical school learning journeys exploring the entire process from
school self-assessment right through to developing procedures for incident management and intervention support.
A comprehensive, whole-school approach is widely acknowledged as best practice in working holistically to promote student health and wellbeing. By adopting this approach, schools can increase engagement with the school community and are more likely to secure sustainable improvements.
To be completed by Term 2 2021, this strategy will support schools develop current and accessible wellbeing plans.
There is lots of work to be done. Very exciting!
